This is a Vintage Brown Rope Boat Fender. Before there were plastic inflatable fenders, sailors used to make fenders out of old tired pieces of rope. It was a great way to re-use old material that wasn’t good for much else and it kept your boat from getting banged up on the dock at the same time!

The brown rope used on this boat fender is in pretty good shape. This boat fender is dirty and makes the rope look darker than what it really is.

Anyone with a creative, artistic eye will know exactly what you can do with this item!  Another great piece to add to your nautical décor!
