This is a vintage picture of the cargo ship Europa sailing through New York. The Europa was built in 1929 with her sister ship SS Bremen to be the second 50,000–gross ton North German Lloyd liner. The Europa route was through Bremerhaven, Germany to New York In the background you can see the Lackawanna Railroad Station and The Fall River Line. The Fall River Line was a combination steamboat and railroad connection between New York City and Boston that operated between 1847 and 1937. So if you are a collector of old pictures this one is for you.
