Behold this Antique 1942 U. S. Navy Brass 31″ Spyglass. We are helping to sell this item on consignment for a private collector. On this item you will see some engraving towards the eye piece that reads: U. S. Navy, BU Ships, Q M 16- Power, MK I NO. 22345 and 1942. You will also see many dings and dents on this item also.  Just another reminder of that time in history.

These long telescopes which are also known as spyglass were used to read signals from naval vessels up to 10 miles away. Spyglasses were of extreme importance to officers in the military and aboard naval ships.
