P15-24 is a Vintage Brass Trimmer Gauge that was salvaged from a Great Lakes vessel. The face of the gauge has one inscription that reads “TRIMMER”. This type of gauge would have most likely been mounted on both ends of a ship to help facilitate efficient loading and unloading of cargo. Distribution while loading/unloading cargo can be uncertain on lake ships, so these gauges would help make that process less stressful.
The housing on this piece is brass. The main housing measures about 11.25 inches in diameter (not counting weird knob extending out another 2″.) There are three holes to mount this gauge. The glass on the top of the dial measures about 9 inches wide. This weighs 15 pounds. When mounted to the wall, this pressure gauge will extend out from the mounting surface by about 3 inches.
