This is a great original brass ship's bell. It weighs 22 pounds. The
large end measures 11 3/4 inches wide and it is about 10 inches tall.
The only marking on this bell is the embossed "PB" on the inside of the
bell that you can see in the additional photos. Not sure what "PB"
stands for, perhaps "Pure Brass". The original hook inside the bell that
holds the clapper was rusted, so I have installed a new hook and
re-installed the original clapper. This is a great sounding bell!
The grey spots on this bell are paint. The bell has not been
polished. While undated, we know this is an older bell thought to be
about 75+ years old. $395.00 plus shipping Item

This is a vintage Windmill Style Anemometer that was recovered from a
vessel destined to be cut up for scrap at one of our international ship
breakers we work with.
The polished aluminum propeller has four blades and measures 13 1/2
inches tip to tip. From the ground to the top of the tail it measures 30
inches tall (not counting the control box it is sitting on). From the front tip to the back side of the tail it measures
26 inches. This item is mostly made of polished brass. The base mount is
6 inches wide with 5 mount holes. The prop turns freely and the unit
spins 360 degrees on the mount pipe. The tail section has had some minor
repairs, but this was not uncommon for these items that were in service
on a working vessel for 35+ years!
Rarely will you see one of these items show up with the control box
recovered form the ship's bridge. The control box (the green box the
anemometer is sitting on) measures 9 1/2 X 19 1/2 inches and is 6 inches
thick. The side of the control box has a drawing for the wiring
instructions. The control box has two meters to determine the wind speed
and the wind direction. The black knob controls the lights on the dials
and the silver toggle switch turns the unit on and off.
I have no way to tell you if you can hook this item up and make
it measure wind speed or direction, but I can tell you it make a great
display!

The La Palma vessel was scrapped at the Alang India Ship Breakers
about 8 years ago. I acquired this Framed Deck Plan while it was on the
beach being cut up for scrap. I has hung in my shop for years and not I
need the space to display some new treasure. Now you can have this
nice 30 X 36 inch framed deck plan. The paper deck plan is protected by
glass. The wood frame is original and un-restored so it has some wear.

This is a very cool vintage Barometer. I found it at the Bangladesh
Shipyards along with some other interesting items that had just been
removed from a vessel being cut up for scrap. I am not sure how it
works, or even if it still works, but it makes a very cool display. This
item measures 12 inches X 6 inches, and is about 7 inches tall. This is
a used piece of equipment that has been out to sea on a working vessel
for many years, so it will have some wear. $225.00 plus shipping Item

This is a huge brass
nautical spot light / daylight signaling light. Weighing in at 80 pounds
and standing 27 inches tall as shown in the photo to the left. The base
mount is 10 inches wide and has 6 mount holes. The shutter work freely
using the side handle. This light was made in Japan in 1974 and
recovered in the fall of 2012 at the ship breakers of Alang Indian. The
front window is plexiglass and shows a little wear but has no cracks or
holes. The light tilts up and down and spins almost all the way around
on the base mount. This light normally has a 1000 watt bulb, but it was
missing when we found it. The
voltage stamped on the side of the light is unreadable, but most of the
others we have ever found showed the voltage to be 110 volts. We have
not re-wired this light, so it has the original bulb and wiring that has
not been tested for safety or function. The bulb originally had some
sort of adjustment that was controlled by the knob by the power cord.
This knob is no longer turns, so the bulb is fixed in the same position
unless you take the time to sort this out.
We recommend re-wiring if you plan of lighting this monster up!

Here is a piece of history from the Brown Ship Building Company in
Houston, Texas. We were told that this employee badge was made into a
watch fob by the original owner so he could better display his company
badge while working at the plant. The metal ring badge is 1 3/4 inches
wide and with the leather support it measures 6 inches long. I have not
taken this piece apart, but I think the section with the image of the
ship is made of celluloid. This is a very cool display piece.
This company was started in 1942 to build war time vessels. Between
May 1943 and August 1944, Brown Shipbuilding Company turned out 61
destroyer escorts, an average of one per week.

This is way to cool! I am not sure if it was intended to be a

the wood base I put it on) measures 9 x 10 inches. I have disassembled

works as designed. No makers' mark or date, but I would say it must be
100 years old. Made of all cast iron, it weighs in at 48 pounds. I
