This is wooden boot was made by "Utilitoys
Limited in Victoria B.C.". Measures 23 inches long (not counting the
motor). Most of the makers' original paper label remains on both sides
near the front. Prior to me owing this boat, someone painted it, as I am
sure the red, blue, and brown colors are not original. The tin type
motor is in working condition with normal wear. Unsure of the age, I
would have to say it is 1950's or older. CLICK ON PHOTO

Here is a piece of history from the Brown Ship Building Company in
Houston, Texas. We were told that this employee badge was made into a
watch fob by the original owner so he could better display his company
badge while working at the plant. The metal ring badge is 1 3/4 inches
wide and with the leather support it measures 6 inches long. I have not
taken this piece apart, but I think the section with the image of the
ship is made of celluloid. This is a very cool display piece.
This company was started in 1942 to build war time vessels. Between
May 1943 and August 1944, Brown Shipbuilding Company turned out 61
destroyer escorts, an average of one per week.

These are map weights that were used on the ship's bridge to
hold those pesky old maps flat on the navigators work area. I have seen
many different designs used, but the clutching hand is the harder one to
find and were more commonly found on British Vessels. Paperweights or
map weights like this were also found off the ship in British Government
Office, and gave the impression of Power. At least this is the story I
have been told...... The two one the left end of the photo measure about
2 1/2 X 4 1/2 inches, and the smaller one on the right hand end measures
1 78 X 3 1/2 inches. Item #P4-28 $55.00 each, plus shipping (You

Looking for a great nautical piece to
display on the front of your desk, and for that right center piece on
the shelf? I was told this removed from a vintage Hatteras Vessel. It
measures 15 inches from tip to tip. It is just under 5 inches tall and
weights about 14 pounds. This is either chrome or nickel over brass. I
have not re-wired the light, so I am not sure if it works or not. This
is a one of a kind piece in my inventory, so do not let this one get
away from you!
